He was serving with Special Forces teaching hand to hand (also knife techniques) to the indigenous people of South East Asia. He was a hand weapons expert and taught the US Army, and several other Alphabet type American Governments. He began building custom knives as a hobby in 1970 and has always loved the look of a good knife and wondered why combat knives were designed by people who never used one in anger or in a profession. The design he built for us is fashioned after a model he made and carried in combat on three different continents. It is designed for special operations.
